 Why did you decide to partner with Olivia on a collection?

Olivia first caught my eye when she was featured in the press wearing one of my signature statement necklaces. I design for stylish, on-the-go women who want to make a fashion statement with ease.  Olivia embodies this aesthetic. I love how she integrates my accessories into her wardrobe elegantly and effortlessly.

 What about the collection is different from other items in your store?

Colorful statement necklaces have been part of my accessory collection for years. They are customer favorites across the country. The Roberta Freymann by Olivia Palermo collection embodies my global aesthetic and yet has a youthful twist. Olivia gravitated towards earth tones and metallics which suit her style and brought her personal touch to our collaboration.

 How did you collaborate to design the pieces and what was your inspiration?

I gave Olivia some direction initially but she created the pieces on her own.  She liked the idea of unique, hard to find beads that you wouldn’t typically see used on jewelry. Olivia picked the colors and shapes of the necklaces based on what she could envision herself wearing in different parts of the world; both bright colored statement pieces and more neutral options that could be worn with anything.

 How do you think the collection represents upcoming trends?

I am not one to follow trends and I think if you look at Olivia’s style you can see we both prefer setting them. We are both inspired by experiences, travel and beautiful things we have seen. This season there were a lot of neutrals and lucite on the runway, which will work perfectly with the collection.
